POP-UP DOG PARKS TO RETURN SPRING 2025
Since 2023, Redmond’s pop-up dog parks have provided dedicated, accessible spaces for dogs and their owners to exercise and socialize. These temporary parks have helped the City evaluate different locations and community needs while planning for a permanent off-leash dog area.
Due to the success of Redmond’s first pop-up dog park at Luke McRedmond Park in 2023, a second location was added at Hartman Park in 2024. Both pop-up dog parks will return this year! Each park will be fully fenced, with separate areas for small and large dogs, and will receive regular maintenance and trash pickup.
Planning for a Permanent Dog Park
During the budget process, a permanent dog park was identified as a City priority and approved as part of the 2025-2026 budget. The proposed location is at Luke McRedmond Park. However, construction of King County’s Lake Hills Trunk Line sewer upgrade project may impact the timeline for the permanent dog park.
While we wait to begin construction of the permanent dog park, the pop-ups will continue at both locations in order to provide space for the community’s furry friends.
If you have any issues or concerns at the pop-up dog parks, please submit a service request using the City's Q-Alert system.
Timeline: Spring 2025 through August 2025 Location: Hartman Park (west of the tennis courts) , 17300 NE 104th Street, Redmond, WA 98052 Hours of Operation: Dawn to dusk
